what if...

Ok say a batter strikes out on a curve in the dirt. The catcher blocks it, and the ball rolls in front of the plate. The batter runs and the ball is hit, when it is rolling forward, by his bat at he seems to "place" it on the ground. what is the ruling, should he be considered out, or is it legal?? Thanks for your time.

No foul, not an out on interference,inadvertent situation, play the ball and get the out. Regardless of how the play ends, it is a K. Hope you got the out!
