Everyones suggestions are well taken, but what if the family is not able to handle showcases due to cost. It seems every showcase is in the hundreds, so a lot of kids don't get the chance to get on the radar screen.
If you know of someone truly deserving to be seen but they can't afford it, I would call the showcase promoters to see if they can make some financial adjustment.
All that are involved in showcases are truly reasonable and generous men.
coach - Showcases REALLY are the best way for a player to get exposure and noticed. There are some least costly ways, not as productive as attending a showcase, but not hundreds either. One idea is to attend Summer camps. Another is to play summer ball. Feel free to send me an e-mail at mark@ebaseballclub.com and I will be happy to share some of my ideas.
