I don't watch the MLB. But I turned on the All-Star game to watch Jered Weaver pitch. The first pitch of the game is sponsored by Budweiser. Shortly after that Jered Weaver carved NA34 in to the back of the mound as he always does to remember his friend and fallen teammate, Nick Adenhart. Then shortly after discussing the tragedy that took Nick's life they had a drunk driver, Mark Grace interview an impaired Justin Timberlake and the gist of the conversation was that beer was the perfect food. I turned the game on to watch Jered because I knew he would carry Nick to the mound with him and that would be as close to the game as he would get. I turned the game off disgusted and sad. With 6 players arrested for DUI as well as the aforementioned Grace, and not a game of suspension between them, I guess it would be to much to ask MLB to bite the hand that feeds it. In the caste system that is MLB, Nick was just not a big enough star to really matter. I guess I'll just watch that much less MLB.
