5'10 right-handed hitting corner outfielder or 6'4 lefty pitcher throwing 92??? Gonna need a little more info, but I'd say this. A "good" offer is whatever you feel comfortable accepting based on the player, your finances and the educational opportunities at the school. If the JUCO is just a way to get to a D1 school, then add the likelihood of a player from that particular Juco going to D1 into the mix. I don't think anyone call tell you what you should/shouldn't consider a good offer....just too many variables. My son is a junior in HS. If he/we decide that he's going to consider a JUCO I'd say a 50% offer to be very good, since that's 50% of his college that he/we aren't paying. 100%.....uh...well, that would be pretty great
Buckeye,
2014, ranked 5th in state (PG) 6'4 RHP
JUCO ranked 4th in nation, sends players to high level D1 mid D1 and many to D2, several drafted from there.
bacdoor, sending you a PM
Depends on their funding. That said A 6'4 pitcher rated that high I would be surprised with less than a 100%. Im assuming he is 90 plus.
right now 87-88 projected 90 by next year.
Depends on the balance in your bank account.
BOF, so true......
I believe most NJCAA Scholarships are either 50% or 100%. It usually breaks down as Tuition or Tuition and Housing. Some programs have an arrangement on Books and a meal plan as well.
So a "good" offer would be 100%.

I would agree, because of the number of scholarships available at NJCAA Div. 1 a good offer is 100%.
One of the many attractions that Juco's have is most are inexpensive to begin with. So I think 50% is a good offer. At the same time I've known many that actually end up receiving MORE than 100%. In other words their total award exceeds their cost of attending. They actually end up ahead! Others here may have experienced this.
