Get creative would be my advice. I'd focus on ALL the talents that separate your son from others at the levels he is considering. Whether it is pitching, hitting, running or academics. It is going to be different for most. My oldest son was a RHP that topped out in the low 90's mostly cruised in the mid to high 80s...not exceptional by any stretch of the imagination. But, if you look at his velocity in the context of the high academic schools he was interested in then he had separation. Just one example that you don't have to fit a specific mold, but rather find the right mold. Again, find or create the situation that rewards your son's talents.
