In HS - son had practice from 3:30 - 6 pm.  Team sometimes had to fight for practice time if indoors due to weather.

College - they are on the field everyday from about 3 pm to 6 pm.  With the season under way they really don't have a day "off".  Weekends usually involve a DH on Saturday and a third game on Sunday.  Then a DH during the week - so 4-5 games a week.  If no games scheduled then they are at practice.

My sons HS is either from 5:30am to 7:00am or 3:30pm to 5:00-5:30pm when they are indoors. Once the weather breaks they are outside from 3:30pm to 5-5:30pm.

Unless things have changed from when I am in college.  Most sport teams practice in the afternoon.  Usually from 3pm to 5:30 or so.  This normally does not include weight training which is done on your own either early in the morning before class or after practice.  During the season most athletes have very little free time.  Its class, practice, games 5 days a week.  Plus competition on Saturdays and sometimes Sundays.  This holds true for almost all sports not just baseball.

Our Season starts this year on 3/7. HS team will start at 4:45 am to 7:30 on Friday 3/7, back again after school from 3 to 5, dinner break then 7 to 9. Saturday they will start at 6 am - to 9 am, break 9 to 10. then 10 - 12:30, break 12;30 - 2 then go 2 - 4. Same thing Sunday except they will have church at some point in the morning. So yes the first 3 days are 3 a day practices. Then for the rest of March they will continue 3  days on the weekends and go 3 to 6:30ish weekdays. Once games start in April they follow the weekday schedule of 3 to 6:30ish with optional extra hitting back indoors afterwards. The only day off they had last year was Easter, and even then they had optional hitting at night. Its a rough schedule but they are very successful so...

That is nuts.

Also our state high school league doesn't allow for Sunday practice or games.

That's why u call Sunday practices/workouts optional. Happens everywhere around here.

even if kids r not working w HS team many r practicing w Summer team or taking private hitting/pitching lessons.
