Sorry if this has been answered. I looked in the threads but didn't find anything like this.

My son is a senior and we are still looking for someplace for him to play. We may be about to get an offer at a Junior college but he isn't sure he wants to go there but if that is the only offer he gets then he would. (hope that makes sense)

He has two other Junior college asking about him and there are a couple of tryouts that he wants to attend still.

So if the first college does happen to offer what do you say?

We were in much the same boat. We were very honest with them, that son was still being scouted and recruited at some D1 schools he was interested in, and we looked at JC as our fallback position. We were told that by most, that our position was fine, and they would still be interested, although they wouldn't hold a scholarship open for him.

I was advised by people here, that JC's usually are the later recruiters because of scenarios like mine, and that I shouldn't worry.

So my advice is be honest, with whatever your position is.
Tell them you're excited and you really appreciate the offer, but you need to think things through to be sure you make the right decision. Ask them specifically when they need your answer. If you specifically ask, most will give you a couple of months at least, which should be enough time for you to examine your other options.
