2013 son is getting camp related emails from a couple of very good programs out of the ACC and other southern schools.2 of the schools are on jr's dream school list.I'm guessing the emails are generated from a good showing at WWBA 17U.
Here is my question ,my son is only 16 as of last month(7-31-95)so he is about a 6 months to a year behind most 2013 that would be at these camps in physical maturity.
We are looking to go to a holiday camp this winter or possibley the PG pitcher/catcher indoor in Cedar Rapids. Which would your do?

My son is also a 2013 so I don't have much more experience than you do. My thought when I read your email is that he is going to still have the same age difference in 6 months - the gap won't be closing for quite some time. Besides, physical maturity varies by kid anyway - are you concerned that your son is both young and a late bloomer? My son is old for his grade, but is a later bloomer so he doesn't look older.

The question is whether he will present himself well, and it sounds like he has a good track record.

Others have more valuable experience, so feel free to take this with a grain of salt.
Our son's birthdates are just a few weeks apart and he is also a 2013. Don't think birthdate should factor in at all in decision. "It is what it is", and you said he did well at WWBA 17u. From a personal standpoint I think our decision would be based on what your son wants to do, what you can afford, and how the camp or showcase fits into your schedule. He will probably enjoy either.
I concur with twotex and my 2013 is like his, a little older, and although big looks young. They are all still 2013's and that is all that matters now. The scouting and recruiting all go by graduation date. As far as your college deal, absolutely go to the camps of his "dream schools" especially if they are sending you literature and hopefully you also received emails from them on Thursday too. But if you didn't don't worry as we know a lot of players that never ended up at the schools that contacted them on September 1...Best of luck to you and your son!
