One thing we used to do is sell pens at various locations in town---in front of the supermarket for instance---or at a mall

The players would be in full uniform

In many instances people would give $5 for a pen instead of $ 1 ---it adds up rapidly

One thing--make sure you get permission from the store owners to be there in front of the store
Write to the Presidents of the biggest businesses in your area. We once had a local business, part of a large national corporation, that told our Little League, in effect, don't bother asking. We wrote to the company president (the internet is great to get this info), and included pictures of the kids with his company's name on their shirts. A week later, the local guy called and said "Why did you contact HIM, and how much do you need?" Mission accomplished.
Get with a local printer and sell adds 1/4 page 1/2 page or full. Each player has an extended family that would love to send best wishes. The local businesses also. Local phone solicitation??? Cost is minimal but the time to organize and edit will require some support. Fill with digital pictures and stats from the past and some future goals. $10K no problem.

Armed Robbery is very lucrative plus it gives the kids a skill to fall back on if baseball doesn't work out. I'm not talking about liquor store hold ups or gas stations, I mean the big fish, like banks and federal reserves. These type of hold ups require a much greater level of planning but a good coach and a motivated group of parents should have no problem coming up with a good plan for the kids to carry out. Also, you only need to do this once a year and there should be plenty of money left over. The parents can divy up the excess and even pay the coaches a nice salary. Big Grin
My son's midget football team sold cheesecakes...I forget the company, but I could find out...the cheesecakes were a little expensive, but very very good....and the midget football team made 50% profit on them...my son, with help from his father bringing the order form to work, sold $900 worth...the league sold $22,000 worth and made (obviously) $11,000.
Check with all your current league sponsors first...

If your team is part of a national orgainzation check with the President to see what programs they have already with the national chains. You may find that the local pizza houses are part of a national fund raising program that gives $1 or $2 dollars from every pizza sale to your team...you just haven't been collecting it.

Next level of source is any and all companies that are associate with sports in your area, than entertainment.

Check with the high schools to see what kind of deals they have with the cola vendors...you my find that the cola vendor distributors have programs to support teams if your team will wear their logo.

Check with your local cable TV station to see if they will run a PSA for you. Usually for non-profits they will do a PSA free especially for youth sports.

These are just a few...many more if you don't get some return, let me know.
