Beenthere, you have the best sense of humor of anyone on this site. Yuk Yuk yuk. Baker is the Cubs manager, not the Sox so if you think that the Sox' poor performance will get their manager fired by July 1, I think you must be talking about Ozzie.

I can't agree with you about Iguchi. He isn't what I would say is a great player, but he turns in a workman like performance.

I do agree with you about Pods in left, they need to get some help there, especially with the unproven rookie in center. They aren't old either with the exception of Thome and a few others.

The Brewers are improved, but they left the American League some years ago, so no the Sox will only have to concern themselves with the Indian, Twins and Tigers.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm missing something, but I know you are a funny guy and there is some kind of humor in there somewhere.

Some things never change, even after winning a World Championship. Any questions about the White Sox must be answered with a response that talks about the Cubs. Why do you Sox fans even worry about the Cubs? Are you guys that insecure that after only 5 games you get some kind of inner relief by slamming the Cubs. You can believe this and take it to the bank; if the situation were reversed and the Cubs were the reigning Champions, the Sox would not be part of their baseball dialogue and never have been.

Been, I've seen what you pointed out regarding the Cards and would like to agree with you. However, they've regained Scott Rolen and their starting pitching is tremendous. Top closer also. If the Brew Crew weren't in the NLC I'd be rooting for them. They'll miss Lyle Overbay more than they know, but they've got a real up and coming team.

Fast...Was talking about the Cubbies and Baker; and, the Birdies (Cards) re problems in left and 2nd base.

Its...We have a meeting of the minds re the Cards.

Sox fans always have to say something about the Cubbies...Soon enough, you guys will be pulling out the attendance figures again. We all know why the Trib expanded Wrigley Field's seating capacity...So they could stay ahead of the Sox in one area...attendance.

How about that one guy who went to the game in "shorts" in 35 degree weather?

Been,

More of the same with the Redbirds. Each time I looked it seemed there was a different 2nd baseman in the game . LaRussa doesn't seem to have his bullpen set up at all and I can see why. Bringing in Isringhausen in the 8th was very un-Cardinal like especially this early in the season. I know he didn't want to get swept, but he's leaving town with more questions than answers. Impressive series for the new look Cubs.
