Nephew Starting to get some phone calls, asking if any deadlines have been given. Has 2 d1 programs that have shown interest and 4 high level D2. Wondering when the d2s generally start making offers.

They are already making offers.
One of the areas that is still a mystery to me is when certain college divisions recruit outside of the D1's. I say this because my son had D1's and D3's contacting him, but almost no D2's. We also did not get a lot of interest from JUCO's outside of the local one that had been following him for years. It took us being pro-active and contacting some D2's directly before they showed any interest.
Now it could be that we attended events where mostly D1's were at, but how does this explain D3's but no D2's?
Strangely enough we got a flurry of contacts from D2's and JUCO's in July-August, which is pretty late to go looking for kids since most will already be enrolled elsewhere by then.
