When is it too late to get recruited?

PDRyan34, it is soooooo early right now. Keep heart, it is just the early signing period right now. You have till late Aug of next year.

Relax, play hard, enjoy the game, dont stress. It is still very early.

He could be doing both.

We had a university tell my son that the whole staff really wanted to see him and that the camp would be the best place for that. He went. We found out 3 months later, that this school had already gotten a commitment from the only pitcher they were going to sign that year, 4 months before the camp. We found out, because the kid they signed, wound up being sons teammate on his summer team.

So it's still buyer beware when considering camp invites. The fact that he's trying to sell you a camp spot and creating a sense of urgency in you, tells me that he's got a little used car salesman in him.

I have had a lot of camp invites and alway's reply with- Have you seen me pitch. 90 percent I get no response and that tells me they got me from a list.

A camp can also be an opportunity for a young Pitcher to make a match with a college. That is how my son did it.
