i think the best time is the summer between your jr. sr year.that said .you need to have an idea where you fit acedemicly.are you a d1 qualifier?are your sat scores good?
it doesn't hurt to go to one sooner, to see what happens.but you don't want to break the bank.the pirates used to have a tryout at usm.that's free and gives a little idea as to what to expect.
