We all say it as parents. Where does the time go? How can it be possible my son will soon start his last college season? I'm excited and very sad at the same time. The last four years have truly seemed to disappear in the blink of an eye.

For all the parents of freshman out there....take the good and celebrate, take the bad and move on.

Attend every game humanly possible, there's way too few.

Be grateful for the experience as a whole.

One of my brothers gave me some good advice the other day. His son just graduated from a D-1 school in Va where he played for four years. He told me that when my nephew was in HS all he seemed to ever do was worry about what schools were interested in him and was he getting noticed. He said that now he looks back on it he wished that he would have just enjoyed the moment. I have a son that will be a Freshman in HS this year. I have promised myself that I will just coach and watch him play and enjoy the moment because it will pass much too quickly anyway.
