Bob: Mania has been on the mound numerous times. I believe him to be Cox's # 1. #2 Walker I heard his arm was sore and he is taking a rest.

Don't be mistaken Walker is Cox's #1. No way that other kid would be any teams #1. By the way does anyone know what school Mania has signed with?

just mom/ sandlot,
justin jones is currently in mesa, arizona playing extended spring training games until the end of this week. he has pitched in three games, 10 innings, giving up no runs, 11 k's, 4 bb's and 4 hits. his velocity has been consistently between 91 and 94 for these outings. justin's arm was a little tender early this spring which put him about three weeks behind. he will be pitching for the lansing lugnuts of the lower class a midwest league this sunday. a little side note; he has had the opportunity to train with some big leaugers in the last three weeks, including mark prior and mike remlinger ! i guess things do happen for a reason.
justin jones said that david winfree is also in extended spring training in ft. myers florida. i don't have any stats but all reports have been extremely positive concerning da da. i understand that he is tearing the cover off of the ball down in florida !
let's hope all of our young pro's stay healthy and put up some great numbers this year !!

Nope he hasn't sign't with anyone yet. Plenty of offers. I am guessing he's weighing his options. I might remind you of a big lefty out of OLHS a few years back that is at W&M (Billy Bray. He signed late in the season and he will be going very high in the draft.
