Which helmet do you think is the safest to you? Has had concussion problems in the past, but not really had them playing baseball. He's worn the 80 MPH Rawlings one, but now a lot of pitchers are throwing 80+. Bought an Easton one, because he wanted a C flap guard. What do you think is the safest?

Good question. Need to research that.
MLB uses this: Rawlings S100 Pro Comp. Gotta be the best, right?
NO helmet can protect from every instance of injury.........so its best to take the top of the line examples and find which one fits the best.........Each of the major companies make a "top of the line" model.
I cant stress how much proper fit aids in protection. I see many teams protective gear choices are made by LOGO. Matching the gear because you use UA batting gloves and cleats is not the best way to go.
A helmet too tight is less protective, too loose is less protective, sits too high is less protective, sits too low is less protective.......find one that fits............not everyone's nugget is a M/L or L/XL .......
As an Umpire, I have long been a user of pro level gear. It has been expensive and to be honest it hasn't keep me from all injuries, but it has taken me a number of purchases to find that right combination of protective capability and fit for my body type...
Protective gear is not the item to go cheap on........
All my current protective gear comes from different manufacturers. The choices were made by protective level and How well they fit my personal frame.

Absolutely. Son used to wear the C flap, and hoping that with the increased usage at the majors level that he goes back to it.

Did he use the S100 helmet too?

Very true, but from my experience that helmet doesn't fit very well on high schoolers. It's very tight.
I have talked to Rawlings today. They don't stock the S100. All they have now is rated up to 90 MPH. This is puzzling to me considering there relationship with PG and knowing the amount of pitchers throwing 90+. Their college helmet is only rated for 90. One person said the S100 might not have been as popular. He was just speculating, though. Love Rawlings, but I think they missed heavily here.
How can there not be a helmet that is rated for 100 MPH?

Thankfully my son is young enough to not have a choice in the matter. I do think it helps him that more MLB players are doing it. I wish they had the actual half mask, but I can't find any info for that.
This is a subject I've been researching
From what I can tell, almost every single helmet on the market is rated only to 68mph. That includes most (or all?!) of the helmets used by college & high school teams.
That is insane! The only exception is the Rawlings S90 which is rated to 90mph
