Right now I am a Freshman. I know that I am a little young for showcases, but I want to get ahead of the game. I am doing well (4-1) as a pitcher, and I am wondering what showcases would be worth attending. I have done some research about PG showcases, but I am wondering if anybody can help me out. Thanks

Beenthere gave you some good advice. Start slowly with some local showcases and camps. If it goes well and begins to look promising, then go to a national tournament with a travel team (PG-Wood Bat, AAU, etc..). If you're still stacking up well, then got to a regional or national showcase event (PG, TeamOne, TRHit's outfit, etc..).
IMHO, the way PG is now filling their schedule all across the country, one might consider calling their ID camps 'local'. IMHO, if you're in high school and have the money and aren't going to quit baseball if you're not 'all that' quite yet but are willing to bust your hump to get as good as the guys you were with at the event, absolutely NO reason not to go for it and get the experience. If you don't do well, you will not explode. You will not have your girlfriend taken away. Your family and friends will still love you. It won't be the end of the world. You'll work harder and you'll get back out there next time having some battle scars - and those scars make for the toughest players.
As George Bailey once said, "Wait!? Wait for WHAT?!" It's your life, your money. Do with it what YOU want.
Krakatoa - I agree with you completely.

I've seen a number of kids who I thought didn't have what it takes, but they and their parents tenaciously kept plugging away. Yes, spending money, but they stayed after their dream and it came true. Nothing can replace desire and determination to achieve a dream. Its the best tool a person can have.
