My son is a 2010 RHP. The first showcase he attended was the PG Northeast Underclass in August, 2007. This season he has received invitations to many showcases, including PG, Top Gun and Blue-Grey events and some college prospect camps, including BC and UVA. The BC event is one day in early July, while the UVA event is three days in late July.

In addition, we are leaning toward the Blue Grey Best of New England Classic in late August, and the Blue Grey National Battle of the States in Arizona in late September.

I would like to see him do another PG event as well. How do the PG events differ? For example, which PG would event offer more exposure, the 2008 Sunshine Northeast (June), or the Northeast Underclass? (Aug).

Are we overdoing it? Any feedback from those who have been down this road is appreciated.

First, does your son play Varsity yet, and if so is he a contributer to the program? If yes, then is he playing on a competitive scout team during the summer? He will be seen by many recruiters and scouts if he is with a high caliber team that plays in the larger tournaments and perhaps in the Connie Mack league.
If he is doing all the above and can squeeze a showcase or two in that will not interfere with his summer team schedule, then throw that in the hopper too.
