Well, you just missed the best tournament last weekend in TN. Best team by alot are the Beaver Valley Red. They've won every game and also have qualified as a 14 year old team for the USSSA world series. You can find them on usasportsrankings.com. Other top teams, Mac n Seitz in KC, Sany Plains Wildcats from GA, TN Heat, Germantown Tn Giants, East Cobb GA Astros,
TN Yard Dogs, Cincy Flames, Capitol City Sluggers IL, and Orland Sparks from IL. I'm sure I've left someone out so be kind if you disagree. I would like to know what the best teams in CA are? Things tend to be regionalized because of travel costs.

I think going to any of the USSSA, CABA, or AAU national championships are the top prizes. We're looking forward to going to Omaha for the CWS tournaments but don't plan on any national tournaments this year.

I think you're confused with their 14U team - they are supposedly very good. They won last year's 13U Elite WS.

The 13U's that I know are pretty strong:

TX Express (TX)
HB Vikings (CA)
OC Juice (CA)
Chino Hills (CA) Storm
Mac N Seitz (MO)
Greenville (SC) Gators
I know there are alot of quality teams around the country but from what I've seen personally I dont know if any team has as much fire power as the 13u Texas Express.
As far as the teams out here in Texas go they are the cream of the crop.
It's going to take one hell of an effort to beat those guy's in Orlando.
The only team I've seen out here that can really play with them is Team Kelly.
The Nevada Wildcats must be pretty good based on their results against the Chino Hills Storm.

Chino Hills has beaten the HB Vikings a couple times this ranking season so I'd say they are the stronger of the two this year.

It is interesting to contrast the abilities of these teams w/ LL or Pony WS teams. I think our Pony 13 A team has a bit of a chance to make it to the Pony 13 WS. They recently played about even in a scrimmage against a team that was slaughtered earlier this year by the Chino Hills Storm.

No doubt the travel teams have the best talent by far. Nonetheless, the organized leagues such as Pony, Babe Ruth, LL etc offer a couple of things that are special. First, it is neighborhood-based with good friends, many of whom will go to the same high school. There will always be a place for that. Second, the post-season tournaments are usually more restrictive in that if you lose you are out. No second chances to qualify. That adds a dimension of pressure not often found elsewhere. All of which is part of the reason all three of my sons have in essence played on two different kinds teams when they were younger. Each tended to be pretty good.
