I have seen a couple of post where alot of people didn't even know that a coach had stepped away for what ever reason. What are some schools that are looking? Or if you know a school was looking but has filled a position.

I know: Chancellor High in Fredricksburg
Turner Ashby
Landsdown
North stafford was looking for assistant coaches.
Tucker (I guess)
Great Bridge
Broadway in rockingham county

Please also correct me if i am wrong.

Chancellor finished tied for first and Battlefield Co-District champions at least according to the banner hanging up in the gym.

Coach Oliver told his players the reason he was stepping down from the baseball program was because VHSL rules allows him to focus on coaching football year round.

Hopefully, Chancellor can get a coach who has alot of passion for the game of baseball.

Below are my predictions for the next springs Battlefield District:
1. Caroline
2. King George
3. Eastern View
4. Chancellor
5. Courtland
6. Spotsylvania
7. Culpeper
8. James MOnroe

Caroline only lost one senior and has a whole bunch of lefty pitching, strong bats, defense and speed. They are going to be very tough to beat.

King George has two strong pitchers in Damion Carrol and Estes.

Eastern View always puts a competitive team on the field.

Chancellor, Courtland and Spotylvania are very young teams and lost a number of seniors.
Chancellor loses 5 Seniors, Courtland loses 10 seniors and Spotsy loses 3 Seniors.

Chancellor High School announces new head coach and assistant coach.

Head Coach: J.P. Gibbons
Assistant Coach: Justin Carlisle

Gibbons was chosen yesterday to become Chancellor's new baseball coach, pending School Board approval.

Gibbons has been tabbed to replace Bob Oliver, Chancellor's only baseball coach in its 23-year history.

Chargers athletic director Rod Crooks said Gibbons, a former Georgetown baseball player, can become one of the top coaches in the Fredericksburg area.

He said assistant coach Justin Carlisle will handle offseason workouts and field maintenance.

Atlee stats for 2011 under coach Elrod and his staff are probably some of the best in the area and the history of the school. Offensively they hit .420 as a whole team, and .449 as a starting 9. averaging 10.3 runs per game. The pitching staff had a team ERA of 2.04. That was without their number 1 pitcher all year. They still have most of their starters coming back and should be a tough competitor with their number 1 healthy for 2012. Hopefully they won't have to start all over again for the 4th time in what 7 or 8 years..the kids, school, and community don't deserve it. 2011 was a success for those guys.
