Verlander hands down the best player born in virginia, the man is nasty and should win the Cy this year, should've won it already but oh well. Second place goes to d.wright, then Wagner. IMO.

I think Verlander has to put in a few more years before he overtakes Wagner's body of work over his entire career.

Oates has the distinction of having 2 fields named for him...Field at LCB which includes a nice monuent and the Prince George field.

Grubb had a .270 average with 99 homeruns over a 15 year career.

At 60 years old the guy still looks like he coud lace up the spikes!

More than being great baseball players both are/were great men of tremendous character.
