Was glad the game got canceled, wasn't ready for another cold scrimmage, but I was really
looking forward to seeing you and your wife and seeing your son play. It is such a small world and I can't believe we played against each other all those years ago during the those Coyotes vs Marauder days....hopefully our paths will cross again.

Good luck on Tuesday and PM me how your son does. He should be very proud, wearing a Varsity Uniform as a Freshman is quite an accomplishment!
Thanks...no doubt there will be a few rough bumps along the way. We play in a tournament in two weeks that includes Mansfield and Arlington Martin. Last time I checked , they have a couple of kids that can play and pitch, but what doesn't kill him will make him a better player.

Let me know how it goes Tuesday. If KD is on here gloating, I will know already though Wink
Keller looked good thru the first 5 innings. Pitched a new pitcher every inning, trying to find thier grooves. The last two innings the pitchers struggled a little. Think the final when Keller ran out of pitchers was Keller 6, Marcus 3 (but Marcus had the bases loaded with no outs)

Stafford, Azbell, Sowell, Ori and Sophomore Merck looked very good. Big Jon struggled a little finding the strike zone.

Keller hit the ball well, had a couple of errors (which can be expected early).

Marcus struggled a little at the plate it seemed to me. Didn't hit the ball with the authority that I know that line up can do.

Both teams will be fun to watch when the fog lifts and the temperature rises.
KD:
You hit the nail on the head on this one. Bats let us down tonight and out pitching has had better nights, if I know our coach he will have our guys ready for this weekend's tourney and not have the same outcome as tonight.

Keller looked good at the plate and in several of their pitchers, KD's son had a nice hit, and what an arm on Kreder..........don't even think about stealing on that guy.......

Good luck to all this weekend in your tournaments and let's hope the weather is better than it was tonight..............I just hate seeing my breath during a baseball game, it just ain't right!!!!!!!!!! Frown
Berkner over Sachse Tuesday night in a cold, damp, foggy game...it looked like the pitchers struggled a bit trying to keep the mud/clay off off their cleats. A few Sachse errors (im sure the wet ball didnt help).

Berkner threw 3 pitchers...Sachse did the same (i think). Sachse's #1 pitcher looked pretty good - had a lot of confidence in his breaking pitch, #2 and #3 had a tough 6th inning.

Sachse led by a couple until the bottom of the 6th...Berkner put up 8 runs in the 6th to win it.
