Sorry CD, but you're nuts. Texas has more athletes than both these teams. Hook 'em Horns!

Maybe I got carried away but you are nuts to suggest that Texas has more athletes than both these teams combined Big Grin

I like Texas but it seems preordained that they beat Nebraska. Florida and Teebow already have two National titles. I like Colt McCoy but he is still looking for his first title.
What we are seeing today is a TEAM beating a one dimensional offense (Tebow.) Bama is well balanced across the board, on both sides of the ball. Running, passing, secondary, d-line you name it. Hats off to them and their approach.

I think the biggest difference is having a solid Heisman candidate that is also not the quarterback. It would be nice to see him win the Heisman.
Tebow would only be good for someone who plays his game, remember Urban built that team around him. The player with the DUI hurt as well.

Kudos for Bama for going after him, good game plan. I like the bama boys but Saban makes me sick.

FWIW, word is out Urban wants Tebow as a coach, what mother wouldn't want their son to play with him?

I am with you CD, Tebow is a passionate player. That's why he's a winner. My own son has cried, when he won to go to Omaha and when he played and lost his last game. I wouldn't expect anything more from players that play with passion.

I am not from his faith, but I have no issue with his eye black and verses. Did anyone see the story about him today regarding the young player he honored after his death, his parents asked him to speak about him. He's been an inspiration to many and will continue to do so. With all this stuff about players being out for themselves, it's refreshing to see it from a different point of view. He gets lots of intention fronm the media, that's not his fault, but it's positive and that is what counts. IMO.

I disagree---if he were not wearing the eye black with the biblical notes there would be no media attention---he and his "people" know how to market him and have done a great job---the look on his parents faces at games end had the look of someone watching millions of dollars evaporating right before their eyes
