I've been out all day and I just found this thread. You guys warm my heart! I'm a TCU grad and REALLY appreciate your support, expecially because Texas gets all the press, not to mention respect, around here.

Yesterday I was talking to a friend who graduated from UT and I mentioned that as much as I would like for her alma mater to win tomorrow, I was rooting for an upset because that would propel my Horned Frogs into the National Championship game. She kind of chuckled and commented, "I'm not sure that TCU could hang with the big boys. It's kind of like apples and oranges." Her comment really made my blood boil and I am hoping for an upset now more than ever before so TCU can prove itself on the national stage!!

I remember Boise State's big BCS win 2-3 years ago. I knew nothing about the team (other than it was an underdog), but I had the BEST time rooting for it. I think I stayed up 'til around midnight or 1 a.m. to watch the magnificent ending, and my excited screams woke up my entire household! Hopefully, if TCU gets a chance to show what it's made of, folks will similarly be cheering for them.

Excellent game thus far. Field goals are sometimes boring. 48 and 50 yarders are not boring imho.

I am not a Nick Saban fan. That said, he is one heck of a coach however. He is probably the ultimate Belichick protoge. Neither of them will ever pass a Dale Carnegie course on how to win friends and influence people but they know how to win.
