Son has a game tomorrow in the morning at 9AM, it's going to be really COLD probably 55 deg at game time. Not sure how he will handle it.

I'm a TCU grad and REALLY appreciate your support, expecially because Texas gets all the press, not to mention respect, around here.
Yesterday I was talking to a friend who graduated from UT and I mentioned that as much as I would like for her alma mater to win tomorrow, I was rooting for an upset because that would propel my Horned Frogs into the National Championship game. She kind of chuckled and commented, "I'm not sure that TCU could hang with the big boys. It's kind of like apples and oranges." Her comment really made my blood boil and I am hoping for an upset now more than ever before so TCU can prove itself on the national stage!!
I remember Boise State's big BCS win 2-3 years ago. I knew nothing about the team (other than it was an underdog), but I had the BEST time rooting for it. I think I stayed up 'til around midnight or 1 a.m. to watch the magnificent ending, and my excited screams woke up my entire household! Hopefully, if TCU gets a chance to show what it's made of, folks will similarly be cheering for them.

The 1AA Playoffs are awesome. And yes I know they changed the name but I still call it 1AA. The playoffs are exciting and they play some outstanding football at that level. I will be watching App State at Richmond. That should be a great game.

This a great sports day---Cincy and Pitt on right now as well as UNC Kentucky hoops with Florida / "Bama and Texas Nebraska later on---with the snow coming it is a great scene--the fridge is stocked with "bud" and loads of grilled chicken on hand so we are set---let it snow !!!!
I am gonna throw this out there... The Cicny - Pitt game, that just finished - Holy Cow! I hated to see the PITT sidelines, but someone had to lose. WOW - memorable!! Pike/Gilyard, smokin' hot combination in the 2nd half. Gilyard - 300 (+) all purpose yards(again), amazing, just amazing.

I am not a Nick Saban fan. That said, he is one heck of a coach however. He is probably the ultimate Belichick protoge. Neither of them will ever pass a Dale Carnegie course on how to win friends and influence people but they know how to win.

Maybe. The way I see it, you should find a way to reward those teams that play a conference championship game. Being idle may hurt TCU?!?
