It would have to be pre-LL. That's when the majority of parents would have the least experience and are very protective of "little johnny".
Knowledge is Power! Thank you Mavens and HSBBWEB!

I believe its frosh-soph. That where I've seen parents of Little League all stars freak out when their son isn't the star anymore.
By the time they get to varsity, reality has set in and they can accept it a little better.

I would say the craziest parents are the Pre Little League age 9 & under and I really don't have anything to base that opinion on. I just wanted to post in this new forum on the first day.
You go, Astrodad! That's the spirit that made the HSbaseballweb (and the world wide web, for that matter) what it is today!
D'oh!

I call it a draw. Pre-HS'ers because many are in for a dose of reality, as someone else posted, to find L'il Johnny is not the star of his team. Upperclassmen because they are into the college prospect stage and we all know what kind of craziness goes along with that.

I have to go with LL age. My reason being that my son is only 12.
To be specific I believe that "traveling" parents are the most crazy. More games, more money, more time, better players. A volatile combination.

LL kids, parents driving BMW, bigger cities, very assertive Mama with Dad that does what mama says. Not afraid to tell coach exactly whats she thinks. Never let LIl Johnny take respondsabilty for anything like losing. Makes you shudder doesn't it.
In my former residence - and based on the frequency of violent or near-violent incidents - I would say LL hands down.
At times it was more like the WWF than LL baseball. LOL

I say LL because i was alot more vocal at the ll games then i am at the HS level. My Favorite was " Come on blue, you can't have a phone bill cause you never make a call". The parents at the LL level seem on the edge of a full scale riot at any second. I always went home wore plum out, it was tense.
Take a chance- You can't steal second with your foot on first

I remember when my son was 8 a parent from our team didn't like the call and was ejected due to foul mouth which resulted in his bashing the umpire in the face.
IMHO parents of LL around here are crazy!
