OP your quote "Sometimes we are so busy adding up our troubles that we forget to count our blessings, " is so true!!

Monster,

Nice of you to mention that. It is so true as you say. We are so blessed, but sometimes that day to day things that get in the way make us forget. I really liked that quote and thought I would put it on my posts just as a reminder to me mainly!! Have a great day! Smile

OP,

I am Northwest dad, but I see you were talking about Alex Baker. Sounds like he had a great game!

The Texans should be glad they are not dealing with him on the bump tonight.

I see, wasn't sure your affiliation!! Ya'll have a pretty good pitcher out there from what I have read. Also, we know Brittany Barnhill and her family quite well. She'll write her own ticket for sure after next year. She beat my daughter's team last year, McKinney North, in the playoff's single-handedly after we beat her 2 times in the regular season!! Oh well, at least we're here in Rockwall now and don't have to face her. Wait a minute...have you ever heard of Garland softball?!! Ouch! Good luck tonight against McKinney. By the way, I'm a McKinney graduate in 1981, so never mind!!! Big Grin
Brittany is a special athlete, a 4-sporter. Great kiddo also.

Rett Varner is the pitcher you are referring to. He has really pitched well this season. He is a tall lanky kid with three good pitches.

McKinney has suffered a tragic loss to its family this week. This game will take a backseat to the difficulty those families are coping with. So here's to a two hour escape for them.
