Winthrop University 18U Tournament

Pastime Tournaments and Winthrop University will be hosting an 18U event at Winthrop June 21-24, 2007. We are specifically interested in teams outside of their recruiting area to see some fresh talent at this event. The coaching staff at Winthrop is very interested in teams outside of NC, SC, and GA for this event and we would like to invite those interested to visit our website as registration is currently taking place at:

Winthrop finished in the top 25 last year and has a great facility that can be seen on our site. They join Indiana University, Wright State University, University of Illinois, Indiana State, Rose-Hulman, Oklahoma State and several other locations as our tournament hosts for 2007. Tournament information, including cost, games, and host hotels will be included on the site and we will update the "who's coming" link as soon as possible. Thanks.

I run a team in Illinois and we attended some tournaments at Indiana last year, did you run those events as well? I saw that you have several in that area this year and we would certainly be interested in coming back.

With regards to the Winthrop event, we would also be interested, what kind of teams are expected, and are these coaches interested in scouting from this area or just the kids from SC and the surrounding states? Thanks.

Did you happen to change your email? Email me for more tournament information as most of our 16-18U tournaments are nearing capacity with several at 25-30 teams!

Yes we ran the IU tournaments last year but we have many more events this year at multiple universities across the country. The Winthrop event was set up by the Winthrop coaches and us in order to get some "Northern" and "Midwest" boys in for recruitment. We will only take 15 teams right now with 5 games a day at Winthrop and only 2 or 3 teams from NC, SC, and GA will be accepted. THEY want teams from the North and Midwest and specifically want to recruit from them!
