The reality of baseball in Wisconsin is setting in for my 2022.  He's a 3B mostly as there's a Central Florida commit in HS ball and a Notre Dame commit at SS in travel ball.  Had a D1 offer last year that got pulled back due to COVID as coach did not know who would come back.  Understandable.

So here's what happened in WI.  WIAA moved the baseball season from ~3/15-6/18 to 4/19-7/1 to allow schools to move football and other fall sports to the spring if they want.  That means baseball playoffs overlap the Midwest Prospect League, one of the biggest recruiting events in the midwest, the PBR Super 17 in KC, and several camps for schools that my son has some interest in.  So the kids looking to play in college are having to make choices.  Play regular season HS baseball and quit after the regular season and leave their teams in the lurch or play through the playoffs and potentially miss an opportunity.  Already know of several kids that are doing that.  Just crappy.
