I wonder if sometimes we get a bit too thin-skinned here in our forum.
It's not my site so it's not up to me to write the rules, but regardless I will speak my mind.
We have had a few occasions where someone stepped in and went over the top with self-promotion. My feeling is that I saw nothing in any posts that I believe should have gotten anyone banned from the site. I'm pretty sure there have been some things behind the scenes that probably warranted a poster or two to get kicked out and to those who make those decisions they know of that more than I.
If a couple of people with a bone to pick want to get into it, I think that's OK. I know there are those who feel that those kinds of arguments chase people off this site, but I think that more people leave because it gets boring. Controversy is a good thing. I might think that a fight between those who support one Travel organization and those who support another is senseless, but no more or less than that.
Let Mark Ormond battle it out with his detractors...they all seem to be up to it and perhpas the discourse will educate others who observe and learn. If you believe in staying above the fray, that is terrific too.
This board won't be any fun and of less an educational tool if everyone just tells each other how nice they are and what nice ballplayers our kids are.
Either way, the white sox stink.
