That 2010 article predicting that D2 would begin in 2012. Didn't happen. But maybe soon it will.

It just seems to me that going to wood would help the players who have high hopes of playing at the major league level get better prepared. Also, it would help MLB scout players using what they already use in MiLB and MLB. A no brainer to me IMO.

The Northeast 10 is the best wood bat conference in D2. There are only three as far as I know. Unless I missed something, not a single NE10 position player was drafted this year. Read into that what you will as to whether or not it really helps...
