As posted above, those are louisville model numbers and are pretty much the standard in the industry (copied by most everyone). Besides going to louisville's own site (which I find very confusing) several other companies make specific reference to these model numbers and describe them quite well. Try Old Hickory, Tom Cat or King Bat, among others.

Howdy, Reviving a very old thread.  Just looking for feedback on what 17-18 year olds are using as far as turn model?  2018 is in an all-wood league starting this summer, and just curious to what is the most popular in the turn models?  2018 is a lefty swinger, with power in both directions, excellent strength, athleticism, and quick twitch (if that is part of the decision process on what model), uses a 34/31 balanced Combat Maxxum for HS ball.  Thanks!

Ohio Dad, in Georgia we have a magical store that carries what I think is every bat known to man, it's called Better Baseball.  In that store they run a program called HitTrax, they allow you to try out every bat (i.e. turn model) to figure out which one fits your sons swing the best.  I did a quick google search and there are several stores in Ohio that also have this program.  It would be worth your time to travel to one to see what model fits your son best.
