This fall I am planning on using wood bat only. Right now I have a bamboo bat with a fiberglass handle and was wondering if there was any type of rule preventing me from using it?

None that I know of. I'm assuming you are talking HS. There is no restrictions on wood or wood composites.

My son had played in two wood bat tournaments (14U & 15U) that specified bamboo would not be allowed. Bambo is grass. The way the bats are made the bamboo chutes are compacted making the bat denser than wood.quote:Originally posted by J.Weaver #5:

A AAA player told me one of his teammates used a bamboo bat he was given until it broke. None of the umpires noticed. MLB and MiLB does not allow non wood bats. The player commented the bat seemed harder than his bats.
