Does anyone have feedback on any of the following composite wood bats? If not, would you recommend any wood bat over another for WWBA? It's a week long tourney so I don't want to spend a lot on firewood or slumpbuster ritual.

Rawlings

5150 Composite Pro Wood WC5150

VELO Composite Wood R110CV

Rawlings Composite 243MBS

Rawlings Maple/Bamboo Composite 271 MBC

Rawlings Maple/Bamboo Composite SL151V

Baum

AAA Pro Baum Bat

Get a few nice Maple 271s and junior should be set. If you want to play it really safe go with the 110. Obviously 243s would probably have the best chance of breaking. Hope this helps.

Edit: You're asking about wood composite bats. My experience is that a well made maple bat will have a lot more juice than a composite wood. Apologies for not being able to properly answer your question.

No apology necessary - you're helping me - thanks!

I got a Chandler Bat at an amazing price (25% of retail) and to be honest while it is more durable than the Marucci or Louisville Slugger, a barreled ball with any of the bats won't be much different than any other wood bat. Find a turning model that your son feels most comfortable with and then some quality lumber in that model. To this day the best wood I've ever swung (even better than Chandler and Marucci haha) is a Louisville M9 C271 that was turned differently than any 271 I've ever swung. The bat just felt so natural in my hands and its balance fit my swing perfectly. I paid about $30 for that bat (eBay is the way to go sometimes) and it was amazing. With wood find what you like and get that nice piece of wood and you're ready to rock and roll. Good luck in Jupiter.

Good info - thanks again!

Better Baseball (I'm assuming we're talking WWBA at LakePoint) in Marietta used to carry Old Hickory x-outs (blems of one kind or another) for $50.  Great bats, but I can't find them on either website now though, so they may have quit selling them.

Still a good place to be aware of if you need extra lumber during an LP tournament.
