Are Bamboo bats legal to use in wood bat tournaments like WWBA? My son's sumer team will swing wood all summer & want to make sure I don't get him something he can't use in games.

Bamboo is grass not wood. The way bamboo is compacted makes the bat denser than wood.
I called Perfect Game about this last year for the tournaments at East Cobb and was told bamboo bats were ok. Even if they now are not allowed, bamboo bats are great for cage/BP as they are very difficult to break.
Not very familair with bamboo bats...but it would be important to check as some wood bat tourneys specifically disallow laminated wood bats....

Any wood bat is acceptable at any WWBA event (e.g. East Cobb), except for a composite bat that contains any metal.
