Wood Bats

Yeah i would use the composite. I to think that college baseball should use wooden bats b/c it helps them prepare for a higher level(MAJORS)

I usually use maple but have tried bamboo and it feels pretty nice....its supposed to be next to unbreakable...

What are some good sites that I can purchase a wood bat? That's pretty cool that Demarini makes wood bats. What do you guys think about the Baum Bat?

BB Express is always a sure bet for bats, Triple S sports also...You can just search those on yahoo....Eastbay is a little sketchy sometimes....you have to catch them at the right time....
Baum Bat is pretty nice...its a little end loaded (I thought) but its a pretty nice bat...but its a pretty penny

Yeah those are good bats...I used to use those before I started breakin too many and went bamboo...I like the customization it was pretty thourogh

were those bats better in your opinion than the higher end ash bats by rawlings, easton, louisville, etc. ??

Well... Maple is a preference....Comapring Ash, Maple, Hickory, Bamboo, Whatever is like apples/oranges......

Annnnnyway, I thought that they were as good as the higher end bats great value...One of the maple's I had took a shot against the grain and had the BB express sticker on it (thats how hard i hit it) and it didnt break the ones i had usually lasted at least a year...

u need 2 swing a wood bat first... find one that is comfortable.......maple or compostie way 2 go

I am looking at Carolina Clubs as a bat i would to get but i was wondering what weight should i get?

I use a Metal 33/30 in games and i know i want a 33 in. wood bat but should i also get it in 30 for the weight?

i own a sam bat. its the best feeling when you hit the ball and i had like a one year warranty on it so when i broke it they sent me a new one. only bad thing is its a little heavier than what you order.

The best wood bat that I have used would be a Hoosier wood bat, the northern white ash kind. It is great, and I know that a lot of major leaguers use it. Scott Podsednik, Juan Uribe, Darin Erstad, Frank Thomas, and the list goes on. Their site is http://www.hoosierbat.com/. There composite bat is also very good.

old hickory or xbats are good

plp556...Just remember that your metal bat is a -3 and the woody isnt.If your a big guy I suggest you to use a 33in. Woody.If your a contact hitter I would suggest a 32 and you will turn on the ball better.A good bat I would suggest is the Easton 06 PRO STIX MAPLE 271 Bat,I bought 2 of em and have had live pitching against them and they have great pop and is a very strong bat.
