I AM GOING TO THE WORLD SHOWCASE IN JAN IN FT MYERS.I AM WONDERING WHAT SCOUTS OR RECRUITERS WOULD BE AT AN EVENT THIS TIME OF YEAR. THANKS FOR ANY INPUT.I AM A 2007 AND HAVE NOT COMMITED YET.

Pastime Tournaments hosts a Top Prospect Showcase Camp in Chattanooga, TN in January as well and we have received numerous scouts for attendance! This is a "dead period" for college scouts but they are allowed to provide instruction to players during that time from what I understand, which is what they will be doing with us. I would also agree with "wayback" in that the professional scouts that attend these events do communicate well with the coaches. Ask your showcase host if they send out player profiles or the results from the showcase to colleges. We do this and it works out great! Colleges want to come to these things but if they can not they always want the results as they can get a great read off of what the profiles indicate on players.
