When I wrestled in high school, it was the term for a no show forfeit. The "winning" wrestler still had to walk over to the center of the mat and have is arm raised by the referee.
A walkover is a forfeit like Jimmy03 says, which is different from a bye.
A forfeit happens in a dual meet when the other team doesn't offer an opponent. It happens in a tournament when your opponent was injured or disqualified or fails to show up after the bracket sheet is made out (e.g., in a two-day tournament, if the guy you're supposed wrestle in the semis fails to make weight on the second day, you'd win in a walkover.) With a forfeit, you walk to the center of the mat, the ref raises your hand, and your team gets the same number of points as if you had wrestled and pinned someone.
A bye happens in the opening rounds of a tournament when there aren't enough wrestlers to fill the entire bracket. You don't have to make an appearance on the mat, and your team doesn't get any points unless you win your match in the next round.
Probably more than you wanted to know, but, hey, it is wrestling season.
A handy online English-Korean translator gives me this, 끌어 옵니다, for 'butt drag'. Unfortunately I don't know Korean so it's of no help. There is no 'f' sound in Korean, so they'd say 'Poo-Ray-zhoo-no'
I'm drawing a blank...no pictures to share after the last few posts. Not even one showing a prostate exam. No skidmarks on the carpet. No grimace on the player A-Rod just passed. Nothing. Sorry.
Our school is a traditional wrestling power in our area. Unfortunately, we just has a series of major injuries to our wrestling team. So, our last match, our opponent had 24 points due to "walkovers" before the match started. Walkover is when the other team has to forfeit a weight class due to, among other things, injury.
Coast of Washington, probably in the 80's. Douglas-fir with an 11½' diameter on butt end. This buckskin (lack of bark) log had probably fallen decades earlier and was salvaged when the area was being logged. This single log would yield more than enough lumber to build a typical wood frame home.
Woody, I can't believe you cut down the biggest tree in the world. You know that means the tree huggers are after you. You're probably banking on some of them not being too bright!
