16 y.o. son pitched 4 innings yesterday and today has his wrist iced because of pain. The pain is not severe, maybe 3 out of 10.

I told him to make sure he tells the coach.   No other injuries from anything else that he remembers.

This is the first time he has ever had wrist pain so I'm at a loss to how pitching could have any bearing on the wrist.

Does your HS have a trainer?  Can be a quick, free and sometimes fairly well qualified preliminary look.

So son met with physical trainer today (yes on a Sunday) after head coach arranged it.

Mild sprain due most likely to throwing the curve ball incorrectly.  I told my son that if he see's his curve ball tailing instead of breaking that this was a learning moment that he was throwing incorrectly.

Some exercises were prescribed along with icing.  I'm pretty sure the coach will keep him from throwing the next couple of days.

Glad to hear it's minor and figured it out quickly.  Hopefully that's all it was.

All players are welcomed if needed.

Our trainer is a huge Baseball and Softball fan. They have a arm exercise and icing program the day after for pitchers.

Oh no. Here we go.  Hopefully they don't run as well.
