Homer or four base error? I realize there's no way it was going to be scored as anything other than a homer. But should it have been an error? Cespedes botched the play badly. It should have been caught.

Error.
Clearly a mental and physical error. Ask Matt Harvey, he'll tell you EXACTLY what it was.
Error.
I'd say error on both Cespedes and Harvey. Cespedes should have caught it, terrible attempt on his part. Mat Harvey should have known better than to throw him a first pitch fastball strike.
Go Mets!
IMO it was clearly an error. But that isn't sensational is it? Harvey certainly shouldn't have thrown him a first pitch fastball over the heart. But if the play is made like it should have been no harm is done.
I guess all my little league grounders to short really were home runs after all.
Couldn't believe they weren't even debating if it was an error on the broadcast. I thought it was an error.
I never questioned the call. I've never seen a play like that ruled an error. However, I was still in shock, as mentioned by my Marine friend above, that Harvey threw one down the pipe on the first pitch. Surely they actually watched some of the AL playoff games.
