I have a few questions about the WWBA and BCS from some of those who have been thru this already.
2019 plays for a good summer team. The team ranges from P5 to Juco to fringe college talent. When they've been down to Georgia/Fort Meyers in the past they finish around or over .500. Sometimes make the playoffs, sometimes they don't, overall an above average team. 2019 will be the #1 on this team and the coach asks which game(s) he wants to throw. So the questions
1). Is it better to throw at Lake Point in prime hours against a random team or at one of the off site high school fields against a highly ranked team.
2). Do college coaches/MLB scouts know who the top teams are? I'm not talking about the typical power programs but do they know who the 17th ranked team is and do they take that into consideration when watching a pitcher? Results could be different when facing a top opponent vs a middle of the pack team.
3). I see some teams throw their guys for 2/3 innings at a time and they get an extra outing or two as opposed to one complete game. Is this the new method? Kid can throw 2 innings on Mon and come back fresh Thurs whereas the complete game pitcher would probably have velo down in the later innings.
Obviously you want the best competition when you step on the mound but when playoffs and winnable games come into the picture I understand wanting to plan accordingly. Thanks in advance
