Wow, just wow. I asked my son to sum it up, and he said "mind blowing".

There are lots of scouts, everywhere. In the hotel, at the ball fields. Through all the innings yesterday, taking notes. I saw a few leaving the hotel this morning for the 8am games.

Great baseball being played. My son was a little tentative yesterday, I know now that his mind was blown. That being said, he is having a blast. He really likes his teammates and his coaches, none of whom he knew before we got here. Most of the kids on his team are from either North Carolina or New York, which makes for a great mix of accents on the bench (and among the parents). All the guys are ball players, no doubt about it. It really doesn't look like a team which has never played together. They know their jobs, and everyone is playing to win.

Can't wait to get back out there today.

I got a few photos but it is difficult to capture the impact of so many scouts. I need a panoramic camera.

I completely second STM's thanks and huge double thumbs up to PG Staff and the entire PG program. Top notch all the way through the entire tourney. Mood Jr is so thrilled he was able to be a part of this event and we were so excited for him and all his Cangelosi teammates that they won their pool and advanced to playoff round. Jr even got a nice blog post on his work on Saturday.

And another huge kudos to the medical staff on site at the Roger Dean complex for their handling of a horrific collision between two outfielders on Sunday.
