A lot of baseball still to be played but the VA boys are holding strong
I could be wrong but I didn't see a ton of Virginia boys on that Canes team. Seemed to be from all over. But they had a sweet touring bus! Maybe the bus is from Virginia.
You're right. Not many but I'd argue we have some of the best with Joe Rizzo, Michael Bienlien and Garrett Stallings. Plus, a couple coaches from VA. The bus? It's not from VA, though. Glad you like it.
Rain shortened pool play to 6 games. As the dust settles, only 2 teams from VA advances - Richmond Braves 17U National/Harrison and Stars Baseball 17U Red. Good luck, guys!
Sorry if I'm off topic, just have a couple questions....
Is Tommy Harrison the HC of the RB/Nationals 17U Harrsion? I'm assuming he is since the name bares his last name.
Are the Stars part of Colangelo baseball?
Goood luck to these two teams still playing on, hope you can keep this thread updated.

Mike Colangelo is on the BOD for the Stars. They use one of his facilities in Dulles to work out of during the Winter or inclement weather.

No. Mark Harrison is the coach (from Dinwiddie, where there are no traffic lights, or so he claims). He's had this team since 13U, and although there have been roster changes over time (I think there may be only one remaining member of the 13U crew left), he has weathered the storm. There have been MANY trials and tribulations, but his consistent positive fire-in-the-belly keeps the squad on top.
