X Level Pirates at Treasure Island Announce Tryout for 16u Team
September 12, 2008: The X Level Pirates at Treasure Island have announced plans for a 16u team for participation in tournaments in Northern California this fall. The tryout will take place on Saturday, September 27th from 8 A.M.-Noon. We will meet at X Level Sports for the tryout.
Who: Any player born after May 1, 1992 is eligible for the tryout.
Ali Cepeda will be the manager of our 16u team and we are excited to have a coach with such a great baseball resume and family to lead our 16u team. Ali has 8 years of professional baseball experience, 3 of those years in the San Francisco Giants Organization. Ali is also the son of Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda. We will participate in 4 or 5 tournaments from October/Early December here in Northern California. We will practice once a week on Saturdays on weeks we don’t participate in tournaments. Below is the tentative tournament schedule that we are going to participate.
10/25-10/26 Pittsburgh (Halloween Havoc)
11/1-11/2 Sunnyvale (Halloween Bash)
11/8-11/9 Sunnyvale (Team Appreciation Weekend)
11/22-11/23 Sunnyvale (Winter Bash)
12/6-12/7 Sunnyvale (Polar Bear Classic)
