Yanks' Rodriguez wins AL MVP over Red Sox's Ortiz

The fix musta been in with Arod hanging around all those mafia type figures during his poker exploits.

Actually I agree with the selection. Ortiz might be the MVH (hitter), but not the MVP!

Now to get some of those hits during the playoffs!

Having watched both AROD and PAPI all season I personally think PAPI was more valuable to his team during the regular season DH or not--I look at it this way--he helped the Red Sox by not playing 1B

Boo! A-Rod is not even the most valuable player on the Yankees.

ARod's numbers were every bit as good as Ortiz if not better, and he plays a tough position and plays every day. Give the guy credit - he is one heck of a player. Congrats for the right selection.

If 1 player has to get it, Arod's the guy.

The White Sox pitching staff deserved it more!

How about Kenny Williams getting burned. That was the best job by a GM ever.

very slow yes...but more hustle then alot of players. he may get a slower time, but hes running harder.

Take Papi out of the red sox lineup, and what have u got in the middle? Manny Ramirez. With no Papi, Manny doesnt get pitched to. Putting the bat in Manny's hands, is incredibly valuable in itself!

I'm a Red Sox fan, so you can interpret this as sour grapes if you want. I also watched A-Rod here in TX. Best thing to happen to the Rangers was his departure.
