Yavapai is a very good program year in&out, and plays in one of the toughest JC conferences you'll find. You might try a pm to ktcosmos. Her son attended Yavapai and has since moved on to U of A.

I don't know much about the program except that they have drawn some very good players the past few years. I do know that Prescott is a great place to live. It has been ranked as one of the best small cities in the country. The weather is much more moderate then Phoenix and it has a great small town feel.

My son was headed there this year until a last minute D1 offer came along. We were very happy to have him heading there although you should know that the two assistant coaches have left for other schools. The head coach is very well respected but I can't speak for the new assistants. We were in Phx so the 100 mile distance was perfect, nice campus, nice location although a little cold, and a very respectable baseball program.
Academically they seem to be a run a bit more like a 4 year school then your average Community college.
They recruit a lot of players, mostly short stops so don't think it will be an easy team to make..
