My college pitcher son does yoga for exactly the reasons you've outlined. His pitching coach has everybody doing it. I've done it with him (P90-X Yoga DVD) and it has helped me (51 years old) with flexibility. I had my wife coach me through it the first few times, as she knows what she is doing (and I didn't want to hurt myself). My son said it helped him tremendously with flexability.
Agree with fenway. My son's college program has all of their pitchers doing Yoga and/or Pilates. I started a couple of years ago with my son at our local gym and have been going 3x per week since then. I see baseball players all of the time in there. Great for golf for us old guys!
I would add that my son has added mobility WOD to his workouts this summer with great results. Link below.

Son started practicing it during his college playing days and, these days, recommends it to his staff.
Ditto! Son (pitcher) loves it. He did hot yoga as well which is amazing.
Balance, flexibility, and CORE strength.
Not sure if it is a regular part of the routine at college yet as the summer training has just started 2 weeks ago, but he did say it is available to them.
Tights come in all colors now.

True, plus the scenery is not bad, better than a bunch of sweaty hulks at the squat rack.....
My son (a catcher) went with me to a couple of hot yoga classes and thought it was helpful. For catchers it can be very good for the hip flexors.
Yes!!! Signing my up in August!!!
