Minnesota Twins sign unknown, 100 mph pitcher Brandon Poulson to $250,000 deal

A part-time truck driver, the 24-year-old, 6-6 Poulson was pitching in a collegiate summer league earlier this month before Minnesota took a chance and paid him 10 times more than an undrafted player would typically receive as a bonus. 'It's a great story,' Twins West Coast scouting supervisor Sean Johnson said. 'This kid came out of nowhere.'
