There is always discussion on this site regarding as to the hows and whys regarding interest or no interest in a player

This past weekend we were in an event where two of our players who had had minimal interest to date received great interest.

One was close enough to the school so as to enable him to take an unofficial visit.

As it turns out we play on the campus of the other school in a few weeks and the player of interest here is now set up for an unofficial visit and tour of the campus while we are there. In fact another of our players will be joining him because coach has an interest in him as well for an unofficial visit.

And phone calls and emails followed this event and discussion

It just goes to show--YOU NEVER KNOW !!!

Great post for parents to read if you're still in the midst of the recruiting process.

These players got noticed because they were playing in an event with a quality team with a coach with good contacts with colleges.

Most players can't just sit at home and just wait for the calls to come in with offers. Get out there this fall, play on a good team, take some unofficial visits, or go to college camps of schools you're interested in. Yes, it all costs money but how else will you get more exposure?

Additionally our kids do their homework---we are in a PG Qualifier this coming weekend and the kids are notifying me with regard to colleges they have touched base with regarding the event. This an immense help to us because now myself and my staff can follow up with the coaches they have notified.

It takes a team effort to make it work
