I took a look at McKinney North's season and came up with some pretty good data. I know most, if not all of you don't give a rip about any of this, but I thought it might be a good topic to see what sort of streaks, pitching, hitting stats there are around the area and state. If anyone knows!!

I know I need to get a life, but I've always been a stat freak. That's what makes baseball the great game it is!!

Here are McKinney North's various stats on the 07 season:

Current record: 15-7-2

Streaks: won 5 out of 7 early in the season. Lost 4 out of 6 mid season. Won 5 in a row and 7 out of 9 up to our last game.

Wins & Losses: In 13 games, we've allowed 3 runs or less. 4 shutouts. 3-1 run wins. 6-2 run wins. 2-3 run wins. 4 of our 7 losses have been by 1 run, 1 by 2 runs & 1 by 3 runs. Our other loss was by 14!! Arlington Sequin beat us 20-6 in a tournament!

Trent Appleby is 6-0 on the season with a 1.91 ERA. He's allowed 27 hits in 40 1/3 innings while striking out 52. His record over the last 2 seasons is 17-0. Not sure his ERA for both seasons, but last year it was .58. He's a stud!

Our record against 5A teams is 3-2-2. We beat Garland Naaman Forest 7-6, Richland 3-2 & Haltom 14-3. We lost to Garland Naaman Forest 2-1 and FM Marcus 3-0. I don't know if Trinity Christian Academy compares to a 5A team, but we beat them 6-0. We tied Allen 8-8 & WT White 10-10. Our record against 4A teams is 11-5. We're 10-2-2 at home and 5-5 on the road.

Our team batting average is .288. We've set a new HR record for the school with 12 on the season so far. The previous record was 8 in a season. Andrew Smith set the new HR mark for a player with 5. The previous high was 4. Nico Taylor is our leading hitter, batting .524, going 22-42 with 8 doubles, 2 triples and 2 HR's. He also has a .630 OBP.

If you are still awake after reading this, you get a prize!

Like I said before.......I need to get a life!!
