Not sure what to say. The school is RURAL, and not much of anything to do other than school and baseball.

Recently 4 sophomores and 1 frosh were fired for breaking rules. They were starters.

My son CHOSE YH because of the rules, but has found they are loosely at best enforced, unless you are CAUGHT redhanded. That has bothered him, and hopes these recent firings will stop some of the junk, but is the tip of the iceburg.

The JV team is a farce. I am not sure if any were told they would be on the JV team coming in. The ones I have talked to have said they were told they would be Varsity, but who knows?

Academically, my son has been challenged in many classes and feels he is getting a decent education. This is not your typical JC, as the average SAT is around 1100.
For those of you even considering Young Harris as a possibility...here is a GREAT thread for you to read about what REALLY goes on there from real previous players. I can vouch for the information that it is highly accurate. Since no one else will step up and say what needs to be said, I have. Please keep in mind that this is not from "someone who just had a bad experience".

With a name like YHCNazi, seems like you may have an axe to grind. Call me crazy. duel

Setting that aside, a player I coached, Joey Donahue said the coach was tough, but he always had a lot of respect for him. What do you think has happened?

Other than Matt Montgomery, who ended up at Okaloosa Walton, who where the other five and where did they end up going to college. Hopefully they all landed on their feet.

Where are you playing ball now? Focus on your future not your past. Pete Post said, "Your never a loser until you quit trying."
